Military pathways
Arizona’s public universities are leaders in serving active-duty military members and veterans.
The military pathway is designed to support veterans, active-duty service members and their qualifying family members as they pursue a degree. Military benefits coupled with focused academic support and community building provided by Arizona’s public universities is a winning combination for students.
Why this might be the pathway for you
Career advancement
Whether you are looking to advance your military career with a promotion or transition to a civilian career, the skills and knowledge acquired with a college degree can increase your career options and earning potential.
Financial support
Through options like the GI Bill or special scholarship programs that offer financial assistance for military individuals or their family members, there are benefits designed to greatly reduce or cover the cost of college.
Community building
Making new friends and connecting with people who share the same interests is an important step in returning to civilian life. Active-duty and veteran students have the opportunity to learn alongside other students, faculty and staff who also served our country. This connection is intentionally built into the Arizona public university experience.
Student support
Each of Arizona’s pubic universities approach student support holistically, with an extra focus on ensuring veterans have what they need to succeed in classes, mental health, building connections and achieving professional goals.
