NAU offers several tuition free or discounted programs for Arizona residents.

Institutional aid

NAU is committed to helping you find the right options to finance your education. In addition to any federal aid you may receive as a result of completing the FAFSA, NAU offers the following institutional aid programs.

Lumberjack Scholars Award

The award covers NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus tuition (fall and spring), but it doesn't cover fees or other expenses. Additional tuition costs greater than the amount originally awarded that result from excess hours are paid by the student.

The NAU President’s Award is a freshman tuition scholarship available to eligible Arizona residents totaling $9,000 per year.

Foster youth resources

The Arizona ETV Program, funded federally and managed at the state level, aids foster care youth. Eligible individuals can receive up to $5,000 yearly for qualified school expenses.

Access2Excellence

NAU is guaranteeing tuition coverage for undergraduate Arizona residents who have an income up to $65,000. This is applicable at NAU’s Flagstaff and Statewide campuses (Online students are not eligible).
