Finish Line to the FAFSA

Arizona is stepping up to encourage all high school seniors to reach the finish line to college by completing the FAFSA. We have set our FAFSA completion goal to 40% for the 2025-26 school year.
Application is set to open December 1st.

Filling out the FAFSA is the first step to access financial aid

Filling out the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) is the first step for students in securing financial aid to make college more affordable. It’s how you’ll be considered for the most financial aid, including federal and state grants, Work-Study and loans. All eligible students should complete the FAFSA (even if you don’t think you’ll qualify for anything) to secure your potential financial aid and scholarships.

The 2025-26 Goal is 40%. Let’s rally together to uplift and empower Arizona’s high school seniors, ensuring they receive the financial support they need by completing the FAFSA.

FAFSA events calendar and ongoing supports

The Arizona Board of Regents, the state’s public universities, community colleges and college access organizations have events and resources available to support counselors, students and families navigate and submit the 2025-26 FAFSA form which will launch December 1st.

What is the FAFSA?

FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is a form used to apply for financial aid. Completing the FAFSA form is the only way to access the largest source of financial aid—federal student aid—to help you pay for college. It’s important to submit a FAFSA form every year you plan to attend college or career/trade school to remain eligible and receive aid.
