It’s time to start your comeback
Through AZ Comeback, Arizona’s public universities are ready to support adults who started but haven’t (yet) completed their college degree.
Whether work, family obligations, finances, military service, or life’s unexpected challenges interrupted your education, you’re not alone. Arizona’s public universities are working together through the AZ Comeback Initiative to help former students return to college and complete their degrees. Why should I finish my college degree?
Increase your earning potential.
Those with bachelor’s degrees earn up to $2.8M more over the course of a lifetime than those with high school diplomas.
Advance your career.
Arizona’s public universities offer hundreds of degrees that lead to in-demand careers in fields like health, engineering and advanced manufacturing, business, and more.
Arizona needs you!
By 2030, nearly 67% of jobs in Arizona will require postsecondary education and training beyond high school.
You may also be closer to graduation than you think.
Previously earned credits may still apply toward a degree program, potentially reducing the time and cost needed to finish.
What is AZ Comeback?
Launched by the Arizona Board of Regents with support from Helios Education Foundation, the AZ Comeback Initiative is a coordinated effort with Arizona’s public universities — Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona — to reengage students with some college but no degree. With nearly 770,000 Arizonans with some college, the initiative is designed to help these learners return, persist and earn a credential supporting their goals while strengthening the state’s workforce.
"My journey to a bachelor’s in Applied Human Behavior was 40 years in the making, and I couldn't have done it without the incredible support of my mentors and the caring professors at NAU. This degree isn't just for me—it's for my ancestors who couldn't, and to show future generations ‘Yes, you can.'”
